Week 6 (04/12-10/12)
What’s happening this week?
- Offline meeting 05/12
- Offline meeting 07/12
- Create Risk management and Kanban Board
Note
Quality Assurance (DQA):
- Evaluate the original feature concept against the developed product, identifying design, interaction, and user experience errors.
- Collaborate as a team to prioritize tasks.
- Transition from review to development, reassessing as a team.
- Compare and contrast the waterfall and agile methods, emphasizing the risk reduction in the agile approach.
- The waterfall method involves linear project progression, increasing the risk of project failure, while the agile method is a quicker and more iterative process with risk mitigation through testing.
- Implement DQA practices through weekly workshops and design reviews in small stages, constantly reviewing and revising to meet objectives.
Time Management:
- Planning
- Prioritizing
- Performing
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks in the project.
- Analyze each risk's severity.
- Control risks by preparing effective solutions.
- Monitor risks throughout the project.
- Kanban Board:
- Visualize workflow using a Kanban board.
- The main components include columns representing stages in the workflow (to do, work in progress, done), cards with visual signals, and setting work-in-progress (WIP) limits.
- Utilize swimlanes to manage similar projects, prioritize tasks, and set WIP limits.
- Benefits of WIP limits include preventing overload, avoiding multitasking, delivering value faster, and highlighting backlog issues.
- The Kanban board visually represents items to be delivered or those that may face potential challenges.
Personal Development
- Develop Video Draft
- Finalize Voice Over Script
- Produce Demo Voice Over and Video
Reflection
The week kicked off with two offline meetings on the 5th and 7th of December. During these meetings, we focused on essential project management aspects. Creating a Risk Management plan was a collective effort that drew upon the diverse expertise within the team. Simultaneously, we delved into the establishment of a Kanban Board. This visual tool became the linchpin of our collaborative efforts, offering a transparent overview of tasks and their progress.
On the individual front, my week was filled with personal milestones and challenges. Developing the video draft demanded creative thinking and meticulous planning. Besides, Finalizing the voice-over script presented its own set of challenges. Precision in language and tone became paramount as I aimed to align the script seamlessly with the visual elements.
The production of a demo voice-over and video marked the culmination of my contributions. As I witnessed the amalgamation of visuals and narration, it was gratifying to see the tangible results of my efforts. The demo served not only as a proof of concept but also as a stepping stone for further improvements.
